Recent Accomplishments
The Dragon Band is an active part of the Pepperell community including Lindale, Silver Creek, Aragon, and Rome. Band members participate in all facets of campus life, and represent our school and community with pride through performance and service. The PHS Band has consistently received Superior ratings at concert and marching festivals throughout the Southeast. Our students actively participate in GMEA honor bands, All-State band, Governor’s Honors, regional honor bands, and Floyd county events.

2017 Chief Ladiga Marching Band Festival
All superior ratings for all captions in Class AAA. Band and percussion received first place ranking overall in Class 3A. The Dragons were also awarded the Doug Borden High Music Award for the best overall musical score of the festival.
2017 Mid South Marching Band Festival
Class AA all superior ratings band, drum major and percussion.
2017 Armuchee Invitational
Superior ratings in all categories including band, drum major, color guard and percussion. Overall 3rd place ranking in Class AA.
2016 GMEA District 7 LGPE
Excellent rating on stage performing a level 3/4 program.
2015 Peach State Competition
All superior ratings for all captions in Class AA. Best in class Drum Major and 3rd place band overall Class AA.
2015 Rockmart Classic
Excellent ratings for Band & Drum Major and Superior ratings for Color Guard & Percussion in Class AA.
2015 Armuchee Invitational
Superior ratings in all categories including band, drum major, color guard and percussion in Class AA. Drum Major and Percussion received 1st place overall ranking in Class AA. Band and Color Guard received 2nd place ranking overall in Class AA.

AA Champions and Sweepstakes 1st Runner-Up for the Silver Division. All superior ratings, best in class band, percussion and color guard. Fourth place percussion and third place color guard in division out of 22 bands.

AAA Champions and Grand Champion Band for the highest band score of the day. Superior ratings for color guard and percussion, and second in class percussion (3rd place of the day) out of 10 bands in competition
