The Pepperell Band Boosters is an active non-profit support organization of the Pepperell Band program.
Who can be a Band Booster?
A Band Booster is any parent or guardian of a student in band.
As soon as your child begins his/her band program, you become a booster! All parents are encouraged to be an active member, and to volunteer for the benefit of our students.
What does a Band Booster do?
The Band Boosters are a dedicated group of parents who volunteer their time and talent to ensure the success of each of the performing groups at Pepperell HS. We work closely with the Director of Bands, providing the talent and experience to help with the many details that must be taken care of for each performance or event. We are also involved in fund-raising for the band program. Most of all, we are there to cheer our talented students on! We are there because we care!
Band Booster Meetings
The Band Boosters meet every second Tuesday of the month in the band room at 7PM. Watch our FaceBook page and signup for REMIND to receive up-to-date notifications when the schedule changes.
Meet our officers
The Dragon Band Boosters conducts a number of general fundraisers that support the band program overall. We must raise funds to offset uniform, instrument, and other expenses. In addition to general fundraisers, we offer a number of student fundraisers where students can earn money for their Student Accounts. Student Account funds can be applied to cover band camp, trips and other band fees.
Home Game Concession Sales
A major portion of the Dragon Band revenues come from operating concessions at the Dragon Stadium/Lynn Hunnicutt Field. The Boosters provides staff for both the home side & the visitors side concession stands for all of our home games. If you would like to volunteer, please signup for volunteer opportunities through CHARMS or contact Amy Scott.

Below are other opportunities to get involved:
Chaperones ride with the band on the buses to away games, competitions, and performances. They are responsible for helping to get the band from one place to another on time and for supervising the band.
Volunteers and chaperones working directly with our students must complete a mandatory training and background check through Communities In Schools (CIS). The training remains in effect for three years.

Uniforms need mending, cleaning, and maintaining. With so many students, the uniform chair person needs people to assist with this huge task. If you can sew or help manage the uniform inventory, please volunteer.
We will need volunteers to help with the lunches and with providing the members with water.
The Pit Crew
Think of this job as the the “Roadies” for the band. The Pit Crew loads and unloads the trailer and gets equipment on and off the field for performances. Band moms and Band dads are both welcome.

A Bit of History
“It was noted in 1961 that the Pepperell Schools Band Parents Club was “newly-formed”. Mr. Leithauser explained to the group why such a club would be useful and told of things the club could do to help the bands.”
